Boodles is a committed supporter of The Jockey Club having had a decade-long association with the Cheltenham Festival. Boodles became the sponsor of racing’s Blue Riband event in 2022, when Rachael Blackmore partnered A Plus Tard to a historic victory to become the first female jockey to win the race.

Last year’s renewal was won by Galopin Des Champs under Paul Townend for The Festival’s leading trainer, Willie Mullins. Galopin Des Champs is once again a leading contender for the centenary running of the race, which will take place at 3:30pm on Friday 15th March.

Today’s announcement marks the expansion of its current partnership to an Official Partner of The Jockey Club, which will see Boodles add sponsorship of The Boodles Anniversary 4-Y-O Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 1), at Aintree, The Boodles Rising Stars Novices’ Chase (Grade 2) at Wincanton to its roster, as well as the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup (Grade 1) at Cheltenham.

Boodles relationship with the Cheltenham Festival has grown since 2014 when the family-owned jewellers sponsored the Leading Jockey Award for four years before becoming sponsor of the Boodles Juvenile Handicap Hurdle race in 2018.

Michael Wainwright, Chairman of Boodles, said: “Boodles are thrilled to be able to announce that we have signed a for further three-years with The Jockey Club to sponsor the Boodles Cheltenham Gold Cup from 2025 to 2027 inclusive.

“Involvement at Cheltenham has been a remarkable experience for the company. It has enabled us to promote Boodles to a huge new audience as well as providing a fabulous environment to entertain our existing customers. As horseracing appeals to men and women equally it is an obvious sponsorship vehicle for Boodles.

“Being passionate about National Hunt racing myself also makes it a huge joy to be involved in such a stunning sporting event as the Cheltenham Festival.”

Ian Renton, Managing Director for The Jockey Club’s West Region, said: “Boodles is such an iconic British brand, and we are extremely proud to expand our association with it as an Official Partner of The Jockey Club. We will never forget the incredible scenes in 2022 for Boodles’ first year of sponsorship of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, and we are looking forward to what the 2024 renewal has in store.

“To develop this partnership over the decade has been wonderful, and we are very much looking forward to continuing to work alongside the Boodles team.”

To celebrate Boodles ongoing partnership with The Jockey Club, Boodles have created ‘Lucky’ their first equine-inspired jewellery collection launching at Cheltenham this year. The pieces have been designed to showcase the majestic nature of racehorses and the exhilarating moments of racing; a sport Boodles is passionate about.

At the heart of the collection and to celebrate 100 years of the Cheltenham Gold Cup Boodles have designed a magnificent ‘Gold Cup 100’ pendant. The pendants are set in platinum and feature white diamonds in a horse motif setting. There is a one-off pendant featuring a pink diamond to represent the Boodles brand, which will be auctioned at Cheltenham with all proceeds going to charities close to Boodles heart: Well Child and Heroes.
